NKB Studio 214

We are open for visitors each Saturday 12-4 pm, but we are taking a break from First Thursdays and evening events through the winter months.

We are also open by appointment on Tuesdays and Thursdays 12-4 pm. You may call, text, or email us to schedule a visit on a weekday.

The next First Thursday will be March 2, 5-9 pm. We will not be open that evening, but many other studios in the building will be open.

Northrup King Nights will be on Saturday, March 18, 5-9 pm. We will only be open 12-4 pm that day, but not in the evening. Again, many other studios in the building will be open that evening.

Masks are recommended in the Northrup King Building during large events. Individual studios may set their own additional COVID policies. Please bring a mask with you on your visit for this reason.

Studio 214 is located on the 2nd floor in the timber and brick wing of the Northrup King Building.

The quickest way to 214 is through the 1450 Van Buren Street door that has the green awning. We are up one floor from there, just down the hall from Dyan J. Padgett Fine Art and Excelsior Candle Company.

The NKB is a complex of ten buildings first constructed in 1917 and used by the Northrup King Seed Company. Conversion to artist studios began in the 1980’s and the building now houses over 300 artists, making it the largest home to artist studios, arts businesses, and nonprofits in the area.
